#Legendary #rocker #Kurt #Cobain's last #Nirvana #photoshoot will be released as NFT. Iconic shots of photographer Jesse Frohman will be set as crypto collection pieces, including a single collection of 104 images.
Rock band Nirvana's last photo shoot before Kurt Cobain's death will be released as an NFT collection. The collection includes a complete one-edition set of 104 images with 27.27 ETH initial offerings.
The photos, dubbed "The Last Session," were taken in 1993, about six months before the singer took his own life in early 1994.
NFT is like a proof of ownership of a digital item, be it a photo, video clip, tweet or anything else, and can be verified by blockchain technology. This allows creators to sell a demonstrably scarce, limited number of digital items. According to #DappRadar, the popularity of NFTs exploded in 2021 and exceeded $ 1.5 billion in transaction volume in the first three months. Crypto artist Beeple sold a single NFT piece of art for $ 69.3 million through Christie's auction in March, setting an unbroken record.
Available for purchase on May 3, the #Cobain #NFT collection features a one-edition title "The Last Session" that includes a pack of 104 images, including polaroids, outtakes, and never-before-seen footage. The starting bid is 27.27 ETH. (More than $ 74,000 at today's prices). You can view all pictures on the project's website, but only the winning bidder will be able to purchase the high-resolution versions.
In addition, the sale includes 10 "Nevermind" versions of NFT, a montage containing four images each with different coloring, starting at 2.7 ETH (approximately $ 7,360). There will also be 100 "In Utero" NFTs covering 20 different images. These will be sold directly (not at auction) for 1 ETH each (currently over $ 2700).
