Even when it's a landmark trial like Kyle Rittenhouse's, it turns out that even I don't have the attention span to watch it in its entirely and I watched the entire Sergei Bondarchuk adaptation if War and Peace in one sitting.
That said, an injustice has already happened. We're not supposed to conduct criminal trials for political reasons. Everybody with a functioning eye and a brain knew that Rittenhouse wasn't guilty of murder a year ago.
He might be guilty of being stupid. Who wasn't at 17? He might be guilty of having bad ideas. Who didn't at 17? Guilty of murder? Absolutely and demonstrably not.
Why do I care so much? Well, it's because we already have a broken criminal justice system. We've already executed an innocent man in the last couple of years. The BLM movement, for all of its rhetoric, is trying to make our criminal justice system worse.
I know that this trial is either going to end with Rittenhouse going free, as he should, and that will be met with riots; or, he'll be wrongly convicted to appease the mob. If the latter happens, liberty is dead.
It's very unlikely he will be convicted, but no matter what we must continue to defend gun rights and stand your ground across the country.
