One of the most beautiful and cleanest lakes on the planet. The largest lake in Kyrgyzstan, without drainage, is one of the 25 largest lakes in the world and the sixth in the list of the deepest lakes. Located in the north-eastern part of our republic, between the ridges of the Northern Tien Shan: Kungoy-Ala-Too and Terskey Ala-Too at an altitude of 1,609 m above sea level. The lake is drainless, with up to 80 relatively small tributaries flowing into it. The lake has 4 gulfs, the average depth is 278 m, the largest depth is almost 2.5 times greater and is equal to 702 m. The length of Issyk-Kul from west to east is 195 km, and from south to north - 60 km. Issyk-Kol is a place of nesting and rest for many migratory and wintering birds, such as swans, geese, ducks, cranes, and many other representatives of fauna. I like swimming in the lake and every year I come, it seems impossible to admire this beauty. I like to sit by the shore and read books. In my childhood, when the summer holidays began, I was very much waiting for a trip to the lake. And now I'm waiting to speak out and find inner harmony.

Be sure to visit the Grigorievskoe Gorge in the area of Issyk-Kul Lake, though, in order to see the most beautiful fir trees, a mountain river with stormy waters and eat a delicious shish kebab in a yurt near a small lake.

In this gorge, stunning Tien Shan fir trees on the slopes, and the river is so powerful that the water seems white because it is saturated with air bubbles.

The trip here is suitable for the whole family, everyone will find something to do: walk along the mountain paths or take a walk along the river. There is a gorge near the city of Cholpon-Ata (30-40 minutes by car or tourist mini bus). On the way, you will meet apricot trees and sea-buckthorn berries, where, if possible (with a trip it is unlikely to succeed), you can stop and feast on. There is a small waterfall "Girl's Tears" and a mountain river. Picturesque mountains with rocks and firs. You can ride horses (20 soms per 1 minute, you can cheaper to negotiate), try the local cuisine (we were recommended by trout, but we went for a walk, so we did not try) or to have a picnic on the bank of a mountain river. Of course, it is better to go here by taxi or own car to spend as much time as you want.
