Real Sociedad - Deportivo

This week Iñigo Martínez shocked Spanish football when he triggered his buy out clause and moved to the Basquee-rival, Athletic Club replacing Aymeric Laporte that left to Manchester. This was a real shock for La Real in a bad moment where there are a bit of a crisis in the club. Things didn’t get even better when it came rumours about Mikel Oyarzabal to Napoli some hours after the shock. Luckily for La Real it was just rumours and Héctor Moreno came in as the replacement for Iñigo Martínez.

This match we will see two teams in crisis I would say, but also two teams very funny to watch. When this two teams play, you often se very many goals, and in the last five games for the home side it has been scored 20 (!) goals, while it has been 21 (!) in the last five for Depor. As you understand this should be a fun game with goals, but there is some players out especially for the away side. Carlos Martínez, David Zurutuza, Rubén Pardo and Jon Bautista will be out for the home side, while Depor will be without important players like Sidnei (injury), Celso Borges (suspension), Pedro Mosquera (injury) and striker Florin Andone (suspension) for this game. The positive thing for Depor is that this could be the debut for the former Depor-rival, Michael Krohn-Dehli who has signed from Sevilla this week.

Because of the advantage playing at home, and the players missing out for Deportivo, I have La Real as favorites in this game, but I can also see goals coming in both ends.

Eibar - Sevilla

Two teams in a good form against each other at the Ipurua. Eibar have not got the three points since the start of January, but has just lost against Atlético Madrid, and got two draws against Málaga that was a bit of disappointing, but also a good point away to Athletic Club. Here they will be playing a Montella-side that hasn’t lost in five matches including three wins and two draws in all competitions. Got a draw in the first leg in the semi final at the Butarque away to Leganés and will come into this game full of confidence.

This week was a bit of a shopping week for both teams with Eibar signing defender Vukasin Jovanovic on loan, and Sevilla signed some lovely players like Roque Mesa, Sandro Ramírez and Miguel Layún all on loan. With an even stronger squad Sevilla will now play this game with Luis Muriel in great form upfront and Sevilla scoring in five consecutive matches.

Eibar will in this game still be without long time injured Sergi Enrich, Fran Rico, Paulo Oliveira and Pedro León who soon finally will be back! Sevilla will miss Simon Kjær, right back Corchia, Carriço and Mercado with suspension, so they have to do something at the back into this game.

It’s hard to pick a winner here, but I think both teams will score, and maybe Sevilla is small favorites considering they good form.

Real Betis - Villarreal

As expected played Real Betis a lovely game at Balaídos against Celta Vigo which ended with a 3-2 Celta win. Real Betis continued the week with a new lovely signing, Marc Bartra arriving from Borussia Dortmund, but.. That wasn’t enough! Later this week they announced the renewal of the promising wondered Fabián Ruiz signing until 2023! Two very good signings for the Seville-team.

Here they will be playing a side in great form with four consecutive wins including a 4-2 win against Real Sociedad last week. Samu Castillejo had another great game an maybe this could be his big season? In this game they will still be without captain Bruno Soriano, Nicola Sansone and Rubén Semedo as the major absences. This week Javi Fuego arrived from Espanyol as a replacement for Bruno Soriano because nobody knows what’s happening with their captain..

Real Betis will still miss Tony Sanabria, Hugo Mallo and Joel Campbell, but now the fantastic captain Joaquin is also out due to suspension.

It’s a bit hard to predict this game, but I am a bit «afraid» that Villarreal will close this game, and maybe have an another strong victory away from home. For sure this will be an interesting game to watch though.

Alavés - Celta Vigo

Alavés delivered a very strong performance at Camp Nou last week, and people started to think if Alavés could shock the Camp Nou yet again after winning there the previous season. But of course it couldn’t happen. Yet again Messi fixed this match for the home side, and I cannot describe him anymore.

In this game they will play one of the most entertaining sides to watch with Iago Aspas in probably his best form in his life. Two more goals against Real Betis at home Monday, and he now has 14 goals in the league!

I expect this to be a pretty fun game to watch, and luckily it’s just Wakaso and Rubén Duarte missing in this game with suspension, so almost everyone will be available for this game. Maybe a draw?

Levante - Real Madrid

Last week Levante came back from losing 2-0, ending the game with a 2-2 draw. Two goals from Ivi López saved Levante late in the game, but despite of that I can’t see many positive things for Levante, and I can’t see them staying up this season. In this game Los Blancos will be the visitors coming from a strong 4-1 victory at the Mestalla against Valencia in a performance not perfect, but good. Real Madrid should thank Martin Montoya for the first two goals, and the final goals was scored when Valencia was pushing everyone up for a equalizer.

This game could be debuts for the incoming players of Levante. Goalkeeper Iván Villar, midfielder Rubén Rochina, the strikers Armando Sadiku and Giampaolo Pazzini could all be ready for their debuts after signing for Levante this week. Players needed in their fight for relegation. The visitors did unsurprisingly nothing this week even though everyone thought they would sign the Athletic-keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Surprisingly they didn’t and he instead renewed his contract showing his loyalty for his home club.

This game Levante will be without José Campaña, Álegria and long-termed injured Raúl Fernández who has been replaced by Villar.

For the visitors Jesus Vallejo and Dani Ceballos was back in training this week, but Cristiano Ronaldo trained on his own and could probably miss this game. If Cristiano is still out for this game, I can’t see Levante taking points here even though they earned a draw at the Bernabeu earlier this season. Clear Real Madrid win for me in this game.
