hatsApp needs a contact number to sign you in. Now, the good part is this contact number could be of a mobile or landline. You can register a landline number to use WhatsApp but not the regular WhatsApp app. This is exactly how WhatsApp business accounts operate. You use your landline number to send WhatsApp texts, you will need to download the WhatsApp business app.
If you wish to hide your mobile number and use WhatsApp from any landline number here is how you can do it.
STEP 1 Download the app
Download the WhatsApp Business app on your smarphones
STEP 2 Agree to terms and conditions
Once the app has been installed, now agree to the terms and conditions and tap on continue.
STEP 3 Enter phone number
The next step will ask you to enter your country code and phone number. Enter your landline number. But omit the 0 on front.
STEP 4 Opt for Call me option
Since it is a landline number, you won't be able to receive OTP for verification. Rather, you can opt the Call me option by tapping on it.
STEP 5 Enter OTP
You will receive a call on your WhatsApp landline number for the OTP. Listen to the OTP carefully. Enter the OTP and your number will be verified.
STEP 6 Enter other details
After verification, set your profile picture, name and other details. Now, you can use WhatsApp on your smartphone using your landline.
