Hello everyone! I just wanted to share with you my trip to Central America Awesome mountains.

It was a majestic experience being able to contemplate the sunset on the way to one of the biggest mountains located in “Santa Barbara “. My family and I were on the road for like 4 hours and driving pretty fast since there was not a lot of people driving on the route we chose.

We took off from San Pedro Sula around 2: 00 PM, we packed some food and all sort of useful things for the road.

Everybody was singing all the way until we got to a small cabin where we spent the night. When the night came we got really hungry and we did have a hard time making dinner since had to find a way to make a fire, my brother and I decided to go out a collet some wood for the fire, while we were walking into woods, we suddenly saw a thing moving in the bushes, at first, we though it was definitely a bird or a squirrel, so we just ignored it and kept going.

As we reached a clearing then we realized we were being followed by a man-like animal, the first thing that popped into my mind was “It´s a bear “. It was definitely not a bear; it was an animal very feared by the locals they called it “El cisimite “, The only thing I thought at that moment was " I am going to die today!!", eaten by this thingy that does not even have a name.

I was literally frozen at the sight of that animal walking towards us in a weird way, unlucky for us, he was not cared of us at all. The next thing I know is, my brother took out his hand gun, aimed at the bastard´s belly-button and fired twice at him.

You might be wondering “Why aim at its belly-button and not at any other part of it, well, according to the locals the best chance of survival in case of running into one of these creatures is way higher if you happen to have a fire gun and shoot either his belly-button or his eyes.

After shooting him, he seemed to have lost interest in turning us into his dinner, his eyes were all read and his hands were like human hands but all hairy and his nails were like a lion’s claws.

The monster decided to step back a bit, we shouted “We killed it”. But shooting him just made him angrier, so he started moving towards us even faster than before, unfortunately the bullets had not made it through its fur, they just him but did not make it through into the belly-button one of his weak spots.

When I came to, I noticed my brother was pulling my arm and yelling “Run!! “So, we both started running back up towards the cabin, my sisters were chilling outside and had the fire ready along with some fish on sticks which they had caught from the creek.

After they saw we were running like crazy towards the cabin and yelling “Get inside! there´s a monkey like thing trying to eat us” Well then, they turned at our direction, started yelling and running inside the cabin, as soon as we made it inside, we shot the door and made sure there were not any holes on the walls or anything that thing could get through.

My little sister was dead scared and paralyzed in one of the corners of the cabin while my brother, big sister and I were loading the shot gun, the hungry thing had already climbed on the roof and was tearing the ceiling beans off, making human sounds.

My brother kept his gun and I decided to take the shotgun since I was a better shot.
The only thing that crossed my mind at that fearful moment was “If I don´t take out this bastard with my first shot his going to get at least one of us.

We decided to let him eat his way into the cabin through the roof and silently walked out of it as quickly as we could. As we walked outside, we made sure there was a long enough shooting distance between him and us. When he noticed we were looking at him and waiting for the perfect moment to fire him up, we quickly got his attention, I was aiming at his right eye, the bastard jumped in my little sister’s direction and at the same time I fired a shot that hit his head so hard that gracefully sent him flying onto a rock near the creek.

We looked at him for just a few moments and then decided to quickly make our way back up to the main road and got out of that area as soon as we could.

Legend has it, that thing is still alive and roaming the central American woods to this day.
