I never laugh at warm weather. You probably know that most of nothern europe is being hit by record tempts. Whilst we in the Canaries off the coast of the Sahara are having record lows and rain. Tell me that global. Climate change isnt happening. If your winters pick up we may join you in Beautiful Nova Scotia ❤

Winter in South Shore. The water here is the boss of the temperature in South Shore. The hotter the summer the longer the fall, the later winter comes. Fall is the most spectacular time here and it goes on and on and on. Last year we were still swimming and having a picnic in September and into October. Usually December may mean a light jacket. Winter does not usually start until late January. We have a few months of snow and ice, ice is always the worst and then we wait and wait and wait for spring. Lots of peeps leave the province during this time. We absolutely do not ever want it to get warmer here in the winter...ever. Here is what would happen. No Lobster fishing, since the |Lobster Harvest depends on the cold Atlantic Water. No Atlantic Salmon, Mackeral, Haddock, Halibut, Crabs, Mussels, or Scallops. Not even any ice wine. :))) So buy a coat and suck it up buttercup. Winter is beautiful. Not like winter in England all wet and soggy, much like Germany. Yuk. This is nice. Sitting by the fire drinking wine, warm soups and beautiful scenery. xx

I dont like this weather. the heat and humidity are oppressive. This is not standard east coast weather, this is Ontario weather, which I thought I had escaped

Weather is different all over, in Canada. Even in this province. Lots of things effect it, like mountains, elevation and closeness to water etc. Where my parents home is in Orangeville is the snow belt. Further up at my Inlaws summer cottage, we had more rain. The terrain was similar to here. We lived in Pickering on Lake Ontario. Very humid and more icy weather. If you live in Southwestern Ontario the weather is milder and shorter winter. Many people retire there, to the Niagara Region (not just for the wine). Here in NOva Scotia the valley is hotter in the summer and more snow in the winter and certainly more humid. Here on the South Shore we enjoy those coastal breezes. More Ice in the Winter, Winter comes late here. Not till January or the end of it. Where as in Cape Breton, winter is brutal and long. That is Geography 101 for today, it is raining softly and cooler and I am happier. :)))
