Upper Slate Lake - Colorado

in landscapephotography •  7 years ago  (edited)

This is a still from an upcoming timelapse I'm finishing up of a trip I took to Colorado last summer. I'm really excited to share my timelapse on here when it's finished. It should be out in a few weeks, I'm hoping! This was easily one of my favorite camping spots I've ever had the pleasure of camping at, even if it did get super cold in the evening. For those interested in hiking around the general Denver area, I would highly suggest it. There weren't very many people on the trail of campsites, and the views were amazing.

Well this is stunning! I love Colorado. I live in Washington state so I feel lucky, but man.....I sure would love to live in Colorado for awhile. Check out my blog and follow, I'll definitely follow you going forward.

Yeah Colorado is sweet. But Washington has its own amazing stuff too! I was out there two years ago for a little bit. Hung out in Seattle for a little (caught a Sounders game..) and went camping near Olympic. That area is so cool. What part do you live in?

Hey Andrew,
I'm following your blog now for a week. You have great photos and it is very impressive how your blog is growing. But just wondering, how did you make it with your first post, getting that much attention/money and repeating it post after post? Did you have supporters who already used the steemit platform? I see so many other blogs with more followers and great photos, but they earn hardly one dollar with their posts.
And by the way, great picture, did you use a pol-filter for this? :)

Hey man, thanks! No, I didn't use any lens filters or anything like that. 1/125th of a second, ISO 160, Rokinon 24mm at f8 on a Canon 6d. And yeah, I had a few friends on here before I started that helped me by resteeming my introduction post, etc.

Hey Andrew, thanks for your reply and your upvote :)
