Spring time in the Rockies

I took this photograph while driving south on the Million Dollar Highway. It was a perfect spring day, the road was clear and the sky was blue.

Down in the valley you can see the remnants of an old mining shaft and what looks like someone's home.

Crisp! Nice shot

Thanks, the subject matter makes it easy.

That is one breathtaking photograph, thank you for posting it.

Thanks, I always loved driving through Red Mountain Pass. It was never a boring drive.

Beautiful place and stunning scenery....

Yes it is. I use to drive this road for work when I was living in Durango, CO and working in Ridgway. It was always beautiful. No matter what the season.

Considering how many people are moving to Colorado, that home is probably for sale. The mining shaft is probably for sale too.

I don't know if it still is, but it was for sale.

Love your photos! Takes me back to my time road tripping across the states last year, even made it up to Alaska :)

Thanks, I love driving across the US. I've done it 11 times but I've never made it to Alaska. I tried once but I got turned back at the Canadian border.
