Winter in Austria - Landscapes and details 😍

Because it can be very cold and wet outside, winter is not really my favorite time of the year but when it is cold enough and just stopped snowing afer a longer time of snowfall it can be magical and very beautiful. Always when this rare events happen I try to capture the impression with my Camera. Of course I could never capture the very nice feeling that comes along with this impressions. But I try to do my best so I can look back when I see the images and feel at least a little bit from the feelings I had this day. Last time I did a really good job and had a nice balance between wide Landscape picture and some nice Closup pictures of structures and snowy details.

And of course the day was wonderfull and I had a very nice light from the sun that's why the pictures also reflect this kind of beautiful light I had this day. Having nice weather conditions is probably the most important part of the pictures. Then you also need some eyes for interesting details and also try a lot. I have to admit that I also deleted a lot of pictures from this day since they where not good.

Since I tried to mix the detail shots with the wide landscape pictures I am really happy because I really got an intersting combination of pictures of different shapes and object as well as some really nice landscapes. I really need to do this the next time too. Important is to get out on a sunny day after a night of snowfall then you don't have tracks in the snow from other people that already visited the place and probably ruin your pictures with it. The other possibility is to avoid places with a lot of people or got to places that are only hard to reach, but in winter this can be a bit dangerous so I need a bit of luck to find these untouched places.

Amazing images! wow!

Hi Florian!

Super Fotos sind das. Ich mag vor allem den Kontrast zwischen blauem Himmel und schneebedeckter Landschaft - den Winter selbst übrigens auch. ;)
