SANTORINI
Seascape... Landscape... I'm always confused when it comes to the landscapephotography category of @juliank, but I really wanted for quite a while to share this fantastic photo I took almost... gosh... can it be already 8 years ago? I bet this little boat is still there, rotting away on the roof of one of those typical home clinging to the cliffs of Santorini, which are nothing less than the edge of a big sunken volcano which exploded long ago.

Great shot! Visiting Santorini has been a wish of our for a very long time. Getting bombarded with pictures of it on Instagram hadn't helped much :) Also, can't help but wonder how and why would anyone put a boat on the roof of their house?

It must be so beautiful there .. I hope one day I get down there. I'm also intrigued by the ancient civilization that was on the island and destroyed by the eruption. Isn't Santorini one of the possible explanations of Atlantis?

Yep, absolutely, I heard that too :) It would make totally sense. The eruption of the volcano which was there is supposed to have also brought to an end all the civilization described in the Iliad

I was in Greece last spring. It is a very interesting country with a rich history. The nature of Greece is especially beautiful in the mountains, on Mount Olympus and the peninsula of Halkidiki. They say that Santorini has amazing sunsets. I was not on the islands, but maybe I'll visit them someday...

To be honest, the sunset of Santorini is a bit overrated... I have seen better! And yeah, Greece has an amazing range of landscapes and views.. it's not ALL beaches and islands :) Thanks for commenting!
