Landscape Photography: a Caravanserai in the middle of Iranian desert

in landscapephotography •  7 years ago  (edited)

A caravanserai was a roadside inn where travelers (caravaners) could rest and recover from the day's journey.

This particular caravanserai sports a fresh water supply canal from a nearby oasis. It was a great and memorable trip to the desert, one of my brightest impressions from Iran.

Not really, I find it overly bright, and the quality suffered too

I think you shot a great historical location with an awesome camera (and a sick wide lens)
I though to do the edit since the HDR line between the mountain and the sky was to obvious for my eye.

thanks for the response! I agree my edit was a bit to bright indeed. ☺

Wow amazing. You don't often see shots from Iran.

You do if you follow me, heh

great photography

I love such photos, where the desert is combined with rare vegetation. I would like to see in such a place, but not for long. I'm afraid it's too hot in there.

It was in the hottest place on Earth, actually. Pretty close to the exact spot. Somehow I forgot to mention it... But it was in the winter, so it was pretty comfortable temp

@nameless-berk IRAN is always a beautiful place for me. Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Golden Time. <3

beautiful photos
I adore deserts, because I lived in Turkmenistan
in the spring they are very beautiful

Such a great picture! It's intriguing and makes me want to know more about this place. The contrast between water and no-water is huge. Thanks for sharing.
