The beautiful, rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales is home to small market towns, tiny hamlets and farms. Oh, and sheep. Lots of lots of sheep. A favourite holiday destination for campers and hikers, this is where the famous series of books about the life of a vet were written by James Herriot, chronicling his adventures as a vet in the Dales. The weather up here changes on almost a minute by minute basis and the huge skys stretch away to infinity.

Thanks, Im kind of lucky as I was born in this part of the world, We have cities, national parks and ocean all within a 70 mile driving distance. Sometimes it's cool living on a small island, but living in the states or mainland europe where you can just jump in a car and drive thousands of miles must be a dream !!
