Magical Mallorca

Hello Stemians. My entry for today's #landscapephotography is "Magical Mallorca"

When the suns out Mallorca is a fantastic island to explore, at this time of the year it is perfect to go hiking as it's not too hot. This we decided to walk along the coast to Cala Romantica, which is on the east of the island, known for it's crystal clear waters and lovely white sand beach.

We started the started the walk in Porto Cristo, which would takes us about 3 (aprox 10 km) to reach Cala Romantica, exploring the beautiful turquoise bays along the way. The walk is flat but you are walking over lose stone, which after a while is quite tiring.

A lot of the coastline on Mallorca is sandstone, so their are a couple of very old caves along the way that fisherman used to live in, well worth having a look at and also some interesting rock formations to take pictures of.

Once you have explored the cave it's about another hour's walk to the beach, Cala romantica. Once there, it's great place for a swim and relax a bit, before the half hour walk to the nearest car park, where we had cars waiting to take us back to porto Cristo.
