This photograph of the ruins of a cottage in Co. Sligo was taken as part of a project that never took flight.
Two other landscape photographers and I decided we'd take photographs of the same scenes and present the work together. The contrasts in style and approach would have been fascinating. Sadly, time constraints, diary clashes and life in general prevented the project from going very far.
I enjoy this image because of the drama of the landscape and the clouds. I wonder who lived in such a location and what it must have been like.
