Photo Trekking #12: Volcán Lanín sobre la bruma / Lanín volcano on the mist

in landscapephotography •  7 years ago  (edited)

That autumn morning dawned cold and covered in mist. It was after the big snowstorm of May, but good weather was expected after the snowfall. As soon as the sun began to rise slowly, the mist cleared, slowly, first the top of the enormous volcano was cleared, the first one to receive the tenuous heat of the day. I made this photo a while before the rays reached the bare branches of the trees and also cleared their treetops. The volcano saw us breakfast from its kingdom of height, wind and eternal ice, announcing the warm blue sky that was going to give us at noon.
