The Urdu language (اردو) is the Indo-European language of the influence of the Indo-Aryan family developed under Persia, Turkey, Arabia, Hindi, and Sanskrit in South Asia during the Delhi and Mughal Empires (1200-1800).
Spreading Speech
This language is used by approximately 100 million Muslim communities in Pakistan and India. The Urdu language is in fact similar to Hindi, due to its root derived from the Sanskrit language which is the mother tongue to all languages of Southeast Asia.
The number of native Urdu speakers at this time reached 60,290,000 people and 104,000,000 people, including those who used it as a second language (1999).
In addition to the two countries above, Urdu language is also used by about 600 thousand Bihar Islamic Society living in Bangladesh.
Urdu and Hindi Relations
The Urdu and Hindi languages are basically the same language, so that during the British occupation which was eager to close the gap between Hinduism and Islam that was tapered at that time, the Hindustani term was used. However, since the breakup of India and Pakistan in 1947, the terms Hindi and Urdu are more sticking out.

Urdu vocabulary absorbs many words from Arabic and Parsi, while Hindi is more inclined to revive the Sanskrit words
Writing system: Hindi uses Devanagari script while Urdu uses Arabic-Persian writing system with additions to certain letters and written through the Nastaliq system.
This increasingly basic distinction causes Hindi and Urdu speakers to have difficulty understanding their own language. Urdu speakers will be able to understand Hindi-speaking Bollywood films, but the difficulty in understanding the news broadcast in the language is a process of Sanskritization in Hindi. Vice versa.
Language Status
It is an official language in Pakistan, although its native speakers are only 8% of the population and generally come from the exodus of Mohajir from India in 1947.
