Self-improving language learning app?

in language •  6 years ago

Is there a blockchain-based language learning environment?

I was talking to a language teacher friend of mine the other day and stumbled across an idea.

What if you had like a Duolingo-style app where all the content was created by users? Obviously there would be nothing stopping people from littering it with useless crap, but having a token reward system could encourage people to make good content/lessons/flashcards.

Having users create content would not only keep them interested (the drop-out rate of these apps is ridiculous), it would also help users learn, as the best way to understand something is to teach someone else.

Being completely romantic and idealistic for a second, what you could end up with is a language learning environment that is constantly self-improving and self-regulating. Like Wikipedia but more interactive.

Or am I being ridiculous?
