What is a Laser Jammer

A laser jammer is an electronic device used by motorists to avoid users of a LIDAR or probably a laser gun from gaining speed reading of their car. It should be noticed that laser jammers are not the same with radar jammers.
To preserve or conserve LIDAR, laser jammers must detect the emitted light at the initial stage, normally infrared light on the 904 nm wavelength.

The jammer sends out light on the exact wavelength at a higher intensity, especially after detecting the LIDAR gun’s light, thereby causing confusion at the gun into returning to no speed reading.

In recent years, newer laser jammers products can detect the pulse rate, the rate at which the gun takes the measurements of distance, upon which the device is based on the speed measurement of the laser gun and then imitate the pulse rate, further increasing the difficulty of having an accurate reading of the gun. This is as a result of the jammers focusing on the blocking light emitted from laser guns rather than radio waves from radar guns, US federal laws banning the use of radar guns do not apply to these devices (laser jammers).

Laser jammers for private individuals use has changed in recent years. the first jammer ever manufactured was by K40 Electronics in the year 1994, which is also known as the K40 Laser Defuser. The next device came the Blinder M06 HP by Blinder.dk, immediately followed by the Blinder M10 Twin, then the LE 20 to Le 30.
