With the participation of soldiers, tanks and military vehicles carrying ballistic missiles, Russia is planning a "massive" military parade next week, in which Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes to send a "strongly worded" warning to Europe and the United States.

The World War II Parade, a parade that Russia celebrates on May 9 each year, marks the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in Europe, when allied powers defeated Nazi Germany, and now comes amid a major crisis between Russia and Western-backed Ukraine.
According to Reuters, the military parade will also include supersonic aircraft, Tu-160 bombers, and the Ilyushin L-80, known as the "Doomsday" aircraft, which carries the administration's senior leadership in the event of a nuclear war.

The "Doomsday" plane, which has no windows except for those in the front of the plane, was seen in Moscow in recent days, taking part in a rehearsal flight at low altitudes to parade D-Day, according to the "Daily Mail".
This year will be the first time that Russia has entered this Soviet-era aircraft into its annual military parade, since 2010, according to the report.

The show will show nuclear readiness and international deterrence, through Russia's use of the Tu-160 missile carriers, nicknamed the White Swan, as well as Su-57 fighters and long-range bombers.

The military parade, which will still include tens of thousands of people and hundreds of aircraft in 28 Russian cities, has been greatly reduced due to the military forces' preoccupation with the war in Ukraine.
