Italy's Head of the state Giorgia Meloni will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv Tuesday to emphasize her nation's help for Ukraine as she tries to smooth pressures in her traditional partnership.
The outing comes seven days after her alliance accomplice Silvio Berlusconi, the Forza Italia pioneer, faulted Zelenskyy for Russia's attack of Ukraine.
Her visit comes a day after U.S. President Joe Biden made an unexpected visit to the Ukrainian capital Monday, days in front of the conflict's one-year commemoration.
