DIY laundry/dishwasher detergent

in laundry •  7 years ago

It's a necessity folks, not a hobby. Did you know that by law, a full array of ingredients going into detergents or any other cleaning material for that matter is not disclosed? Yep, it's a mystery and yet you wash your dishes with it and your laundry with it.

Skin is our largest organ, and gut is called the 2nd brain.

So below is the simple recipe for a laundry/dishes detergent.detergent.jpg

2 parts of baking soda, bake at 400F for 30 min, to convert it to washing soda, with has x11 the washing power. DO NOT BUY COMMERCIAL WASHING SODA! it's not the same!!!

let it cool down

and add 1 part white sea salt, the finest you can find

add 1 part citric acid powder

keep in mind, that you may play with citric acid and salt ratio based on your water hardness.

add 0.5 part Borax

mix, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil, my top choices tea tree, peppermint, lavender, and lemongrass

keep it in an airtight container

use 3/4 to a half of the amount you would normally use. Since your DIY product has no fillers, it's much more effective.

You may use white vinegar for a fabric softener and rinsing aid, but you don't have too.
