Simon and the law of balance: Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me. Acts 8:24

Lord Jesus, as explained in the gospel of Luke, taught during the Sermon on the Mount the plan of God (Luke 6:20-26), which is in essence an expansion of the wisdom from above. And this plan involves rewards for people who are assertive and punishments for those who practice error, that is why this spiritual plan is also an ordering principle of man's behaviors.
And Jesus, faced with this, explained the need for the true conversion because those who reject the spiritual gift of fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion) are condemned to that false happiness that is temporary and leaves a deep feeling of emptiness.
And an example of how those who choose the path of error are exposed to misfortunes and disasters was Simon the sorcerer in the Book of Acts. The Book of Acts relates that there was a sorcerer named Simon in Samaria and that with his acts of magic he attracted the attention of the people. But it happened that the people of that place were converted to faith by the preaching of Philip and thus Simon became a follower of this preacher of the kingdom.
A time after this fact the apostles Peter and John arrived in that region and by the laying on of hands they granted the holy spirit to the believers, and seeing this, Simon wanted to buy the spiritual gift of the apostles with money.
And in response to this sin of Simon, Peter condemned him and announced misfortune to him:
"But Peter replied, ´May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God's gift can be bought! You can have no part in this, for your heart is not right with God. Repent of your wickedness and pray to the Lord.´" Acts 8:20-22.
But Simon, like a real fool, answered in the wrong way: "Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me" Acts 8:24. This event that happened to Simon is a demonstration that the law of sowing and reaping, which is a law of balance present in God's plan, is indefectible and that error has its retribution.
