If you want to lead your life on your terms, you should always learn how to become better at what you do.
Today, I want to share 10 important skills that makes men and women succeed. This is based on research from Brian Tracy, who has studied top achiever and peak performers for more than of 25 years.
There seems to be different versions of the 10 C's, but let us go with this one for now.
Clarity — Men and women who reach the top levels know who they are, what they believe in and what they want with their live. They have a clear vision and specific goals.
Competence — Practice makes permanent. If you want success, you need to work and learn how to become the best at what you do, all the time. Success only stays if you have the skill to make it happen.
Concentration — No one can multitask properly. If you can put your mind into one single thing and finish it completely, you will win in the end. Focus is a key factor in success.
Common sense — Successful's make mistakes, but they reflect on them in order to learn how to do it better. It is common sense that makes them really understand the simpleness of the lessons and apply them to their lives.
Creativity — Successful people flood their minds with ideas from all kind of sources. They use these ideas to create new solutions. Creativity is something anyone can express, yet it has to be practiced. Successful people use their creative muscle all the time and it will grow because of it.
Consideration — Successful people look at the value of others and listen carefully to their thoughts. Powerful and quality relationships are important in life and successful invest time in keeping them healthy.
Consistency — Show up every time. Success comes from building empowering routines that allow you to grow everyday, even though you do not see the progress after each session. Consistency builds up skills and experience in a way that they will last forever. You will show you are good for your word and this allows trust to build.
Commitment — You give your word when you commit to something. Successful's only commit to things that they can actually make happen, or they leave it. They are committed to do everything they do at their best.
Courage — Everyone fears, yet not everyone allow fear to make choices for them. Courage is needed to do what needs to be done even if you fear it. Successful people learned how to deal with fear, as they needed to stop over it thousands of times in order to get to the point they are now.
Confidence — The successful gain confidence by practicing competence, concentration, common sense, creativity, consideration, consistency, commitment and courage everyday. Confidence is a result and if you master the above skills, you too can feel the confidence to preform your best in any situation, yourself.
All of these are skills, so you can practice them. The successful were not born with them, they have trained to master them.
As you probably know from experience, success comes at a price. There are obstacles along the way, externally, but many are in your own body and mind. Those who succeed track down what is keeping them back, reflect on the lessons and implement them successfully to improve their game. This summery gives you some guidelines what you need to work on if you want to succeed.
