Japanese Maple, whose botanical name is acer palmatum, is a deciduous shrub or small tree that typically grows to a height of 10 to 25 inches.

The tree is native to Japan, Korea, and China.

Generally, the tree is broad and round with branches often low.

Each palm-green leaf is 2 to 5 inches long and has 5 to 7 serrations.

The foliage is very beautiful in the fall with yellow, red, purple, bronze and autumn colors.
