The Chinese hackberry, with the botanical name celtis sinensis, is a species of flowering plant in the hemp family, cannabaceae, that grows wild on the slopes of East Asia.

Native to China, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, the tree has deciduous leaves and gray bark that can grow up to 20 meters tall.

In traditional Korean medicine, the leaves and bark are used to treat menstruation and lung abscesses.

The tree is also used as an ornamental plant in classical East Asian garden designs.
