Winged spindle with botanical name euonymus alatus is a species of flowering plant in the Euonymaceae family.
It is known also by various other names such as winged euonymus, or burning bush, and is native to central and northern China, Japan, and Korea.
The leaves are ovate to elliptic and pointed.
Because of the attractive fall foliage color, this tree is often grown in gardens and parks as an ornamental plant.
