The bamboo-leaf oak with botanical name quercus myrsinifolia is an evergreen oak that can grow up to 20 meters.

It is an Asian tree species belonging to the subgenus of ring-cupped oaks in the fagaceae family.

The tree is called by several common names, including Chinese evergreen oak and Chinese ring-cupped oak.

In China it is called xiǎo yè qīng gāng, meaning little leaf ring-cupped oak, in Japan it is called white oak, and in Korea it is called gasinamu.
