Chinese hackberry, whose botanical name is celtis sinensis, is a species of flowering plant in the hemp family cannabaceae.
Native to the slopes of East Asia, it is a tall tree, usually up to 20 meters tall, with deciduous leaves and gray bark.
In Korean medicine, the leaves and bark are used to treat menstruation and lung abscesses.
The tree is also commonly used as an ornamental plant in classical East Asian garden designs.
