Climbing hempvine, whose scientific name is mikania scandens, is a species of flowering plant in the asteraceae family.
Also called climbing hempweed or louse-plaster, it is native to the eastern and central United States.
The leaves grow in pairs on swollen nodes on the stem.
The tree grows in sprawling clumps and may overshadow other vegetation.
