Copperleaf, with the botanical name acalypha, is a genus of flowering plants in the euphorbiaceae family.
Also called three-seeded mercury, it is one of the largest euphorb genera with about 450 to 462 species.
The leaves are alternately arranged, undivided, and usually petiolate striped.
The blades are intact or often toothed or serrated, with pinnate or palmate veins.
