The dwarf umbrella tree, with the scientific name schefflera arboricola, is a flowering plant of the Araliaceae family native to Taiwan and Hainan Province, China.
It is called dwarf umbrella tree because it resembles the umbrella tree (schefflera actinophylla) but in small version.
The leaves are palmately compound, with 7 to 9 lobes, whole margins, wedge-shaped at the base, and pointed at the tip.
The leaves are a shiny green color with a rough texture, hairless on the upper surface and slightly lighter and matte on the lower surface.
