The false Japanese cleyera, whose botanical name is ternstroemia gymnanthera, is a species of flowering plant in the pentaphylacaceae family.
It grows at altitudes of 200 to 2800 meters in Japan and China, and 1200 to 1500 meters in the Himalayas.
This plant can grow to a height of 3.5 meters and blooms from June to July.
