Foxglove beard-Tmtongue, whose scientific name is penstemon digitalis, is a species of flowering plant in the family plantaginaceae.

Also called foxglove beardtongue, talus slope penstemon, and white beardtongue, it is native to eastern Canada and the eastern and southeastern United States.

This plant is a 3- to 5-foot tall, hairless herbaceous plant.

The leaves are simple, glossy green and grow on slender purple stems.

The rhizomatous leaves are elliptic and the stem leaves are lanceolate to ovate.
