Fragrant wormwood, whose scientific name is artemisia capillaris, is a species of flowering plant in the artemisia mugwort genus of the asteraceae family.
This plant is native to Pakistan, the western Himalayas, Assam, all of China, Mongolia, the Korean Peninsula, Irkutsk Oblast, the Russian Primorsky Krai, Ryukyu Islands, and Japan.
It has also been widely introduced into Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Southeast Asia, Malaysia, and all of Taiwan.
In Chinese, this plant is called yīn chén hāo and is used in traditional Chinese medicine.
