The Hanagagashi (Japanese) whose scientific name is quercus hondae, is a species of tree in the beech family.
It is an evergreen tree with dark gray bark.
The leaves are thick and leathery and can reach a length of 14 cm.
This tree can be found growing naturally on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan.
