Iyokan, whose botanical name is citrus x iyo, is a Japanese citrus fruit similar to mikan orange.
It is also known as anadomikan or gokaku iyokan.
Compared to oranges, the flesh of Iyokan is slightly sour and bitter, but sweeter than grapefruit.
And the skin is brightly colored and very shiny, giving off a very strong scent after being peeled.
