Japanese spindle, whose scientific name is euonymus japonicus, is a species of flowering plant in the family celastraceae.
Also called green spindle, it is native to Japan, Korea, and China.
It is an evergreen shrub or small tree, 2 to 8 meters tall.
The leaves are elliptic, opposite and finely serrated.
