The maidenhair tree, whose scientific name is ginkgo biloba, is a tree species native to China.
Also called ginkgo or gingko, it has distinctive fan-shaped leaves with veins that radiate down the leaf blade and sometimes split.
During the fall, the leaves turn bright yellow and sometimes fall off in 1-15 days.
The branches of this tree lengthen as the shoot grows with regularly spaced leaves, as is the case with most trees.
