Musky-smelling dendrobium with the scientific name dendrobium moschatum is native to the Himalayas and Indochina.

Flowers bloom in late spring to early summer, with a musky scent that lasts about a week and appears near the leafless end of the stem.

This plant likes lots of light, but will not tolerate direct sunlight at midday.

It is best placed in the morning sun until about 10 am.
