Botanical name quercus hemisferica, sand laurel oak is a species of oak tree native to the southeastern and central United States.
Also called laurel oak, Darlington oak, or laurel-leaf oak, it is a medium-sized, semi-evergreen tree growing up to 35 meters tall.
Sand laurel oak has narrow oval or ovate leaves with round or blunt bases and pointed apexes.
