Shining Spleenwort Or Huruhuruwhenua (Asplenium Oblongifolium)

Shining spleenwort, with the botanical name asplenium oblongifolium, is a species of fern native to New Zealand.

In the Maori language, it is called huruhuruwhenua.

The plant belongs to the "Neottopteris clade" and its members generally have slightly leathery leaf tissue.

Shining spleenwort is found from coast to mountain, on the North, South, Chatham and Kermadec Islands.
