Hoya is a genus of tropical plants in the apocynaceae family.
Other names include waxvine, waxflower, or simply hoya, and most are native to several Asian countries, some are native to Australia.
It is an evergreen vine, or sometimes shrub.
The leaves are simple, arranged in opposite patterns, and are usually fleshy.
