Academic who mined data claims that he is being used as scapegoat .

• Facebook revealed the data of over 57 billion friendships on Facebook to academic .

• Facebook revealed every single friendship that happened during 2011 in all the country in the world to " University of Cambridge " laboratory to study international friendships which was published in Personality and Individual Differences during 2015.

Cambridge Analytica is the firm which acquired millions of Facebook users information.

• They harvested data of millions of Facebook users .

• Cambridge professor who doesn't care to read about the deal he has with the Facebook,
  neither did he care to contact and consult any lawyer before handing over millions of Facebook profiles.
  Now he is blaming laming everyone else. He doesn't look like wise to me .

• There are rumors that it was given an exclusive access to the confidential documents . It got paid around two hundred thousand for doing two separate projects.

• Facebook and CA will spy on everyone and everything .
  Did Facebook let other mining enabled ? This is a big concern .

I can never believe that an academic who is tied to a major university is going to be passing on massive data sets to corporate entities.

• There's no way that, if he passed the data off in a legitimate process,
  that the agreements would not have been reviewed by any lawyer who might have identified the ToS violation while passing the data of millions of Facebook users.

The only reason i assume to avoid the process is if you are upto some shady stuff.

I think it's time that decentralized social networks takeover centralized social networks like Facebook and Twitter . Our data need to be protected from being used for profit . it's time for the likes of steemit , Dtube , Zappl to take over Facebook , Youtube , Twitter .
