Am Vs I am (I'm).

Most people are really confused about when to use "Am" and when to use I'm.

With this little trick, we can simply know when to use "Am" and I'm.

Let's start with I'm.

I'm is simply a contraction of the word I am. A contraction is a shortened version of word.

Note: You don't have to shorten your words always.

When should I use I'm (I am)?

Please use 'I am' when you are introducing yourself or talking about yourself.

It is, therefore, wrong to say "Am a carpenter" rather, say 'I am' (I'm a carpenter)

When should I use am?

Please use 'Am' when asking a question.

Am I to sit?
You're wonderfully made. Am I?.

Note: Am is only used with the pronoun 'I'.
