Reading the #manga Musunde Hiraite I've found this one interesting scene about Dreams, they talk about manga here. but you can change it to any dream and it'll have the same meaning!!

Learned From Manga

Manga/Anime and Games are art. I believe that the things we watch/read/play doesn't only move us emotionally but can make use wiser and more knowledgeable... I believe there's no truly useless knowledge. and by sharing our opinions on scenes from them, we can get something more... something to help us in our lives.

This a series of posts I was planning to do since long ago, in my Arabic Facebook Group I always share things like these so I wanted to do this on steemit too.

Past posts of the series: #1, #2

Musunde Hiraite

A manga by Minase Mayu that follows many characters love life. every chapter focuses on one of these characters and it's one of the romance-comedy manga I like most!! This scene is from chapter 2 (VOL.1) of the manga (pages 12-15). This won't spoil anything rather other than the beginning of this chapter, and every chapter follows different characters. if you are worried about spoilers.

I don't own Musunde Hiraite and only posted these pages here to share my opinion on them. This seems an unpopular manga and there's no official English release (this below is scanlators work).

but you can support the creators by importing the Japanese version.

The same scene in a novel-like way, written by me. (some dialogue changed)

Makihara POV

"Why do you want to be a mangaka?" He asked me.

"It's- it's a secret." I tried to avoid him, But I knew I couldn't get away even though I sat across the table from him.

I said "Because, y- you Akechi are famous for exposing people secrets" he was famous for spying on girls conversations, it's hard to keep secret in this school because of him.

"People ask so I tell them"

"That's why it's a secret" I couldn't believe how blunt he was, I wish I can say what's in my mind like that.

Akechi snatched my manuscript from the table and curled his lips, "then, I'll just read this out loud--"

"I'll tell you!" I desperately reached out both hands to take the manuscript back. But he kept it away from my reach.

'This is so embarrassing' I felt my legs shaking so I tried to change my sitting position, I mustered up the courage and said. "I, ever since I was a little, I loved manga. I would always try to mimic the art by sketching it myself. Since that time becoming mangaka is something I always wanted to be."

"I always get excited when I read manga, my troubles would just fade away." Thinking my childhood, I would always stare at these pictures and words in my spare time. "I also thought I could support myself like that, just by drawing whatever I liked... Vaguely"

I took a glimpse at Akechi. He stared at my manuscript indifferently.

"But," I said, "to my parents, I was just doing something childish and ridiculous. In the real world it's hard to be successful as an artist. I'm too embarrassed to tell anyone about it in my class as well. So..."

I took a glimpse at him again to find him listen at me, so I continued.

"Even though I say I want to be a mangaka, in all seriousness... I mean it's something, impossible, I guess." I accepted this fact already so I can say it now with a straight face. "It'd be too risky to become a mangaka anyways--"

"Makihara!" Akechi raised his voice and told me firmly. "Becoming a mangaka might be the most foolish thing you could do, but isn't that who you are?"

My heart skipped a beat.

"With all these excuses," he said, "it seems like you've already given up on what you wanted to do before you've even tried. Are going to keep lying to yourself by blaming your parents?"

I couldn't say anything to that. He is right.. I was just telling myself to give up. I was--

"And is standing in front of book stores, something you do when you get lost?"

'No, it's because I wanted to have something there.' I tried to tell him something but he took my hand and said "Let's go find your dream!"

"Eh?!" I tried to take back my hand but he dragged me with him "What are you doing? Akechi?! The bells going to ring soon."

We went and registered in a manga drawing contest.
In that day Akechi motivated me to work on my dream. He started my life. and that was the beginning of my love life.

The End?

Be Always Yourself

Sometimes we have dreams, but we are afraid of working on them. this fear isn't justified...there will be a lot of challenges while working on dreams, But you can overcome them. Don't lie to yourself and say that you can't before even trying!!!

But as this manga said "this might be the most foolish thing" because not everyone who has dreams and works for them can succeed in achieving them. some people especially who want to be popular at what they do and don't care about the work itself, are better giving up.

But whatever you do, don't regret it. work on something that gives you a sense of achievement whatever it is!!

I don't have to go into detail about this one. I will simply say I love both characters and I WANT MORE, CAN I PLEASE HAVE MORE @ahmadmanga?

Ah... you can? this isn't my story and you can find it as a manga if you googled "Musunde Hiraite manga read"...

But if you mean in my Novel-like form? I'm very very grateful for you!! this is the first time someone says this to me.. But as I said this story isn't mine and if I wrote the whole of it. it won't be more than a fanfiction.

But I'll write more of those Learned From Manga posts... spanning across lots of manga!! I might return to this manga another day.

Thanks for reading :) happy for you comment!! upvoted it.
