There is no denying the fact that learning improves us and make us better. In fact, life is about learning. You either learn from the mistakes of others or you learn from yours.

We learn from virtually everything in life. A little baby can teach you about the power of a smile, a little kid can teach you about being fearless, an adult can teach you about taking risks, and older people can teach you about making use of your time and living life without regrets. We pick lessons from everywhere, depending on what we are looking for or what we open up our heart to.

Learning never stops, regardless of the age. Learning should always be a continuous process because when life and people are concerned, we can never know too much. If it is not to help us, it will always be useful for someone we know. A man who stopped learning just signed a death warrant, because that which he doesn’t know might kill him.

Ways We Learn.

We learn by observation.

There are some things we pick up by merely observing people, behaviours, things, and places. Only a sensitive mind that is open to learning can do this. Observing leads us to think and playing things over in our heads. It helps us connect one or two together and watch out for patterns.

We learn even by observing our environment. We detect problems we can offer a solution to, and things that need fixing. Observing to learn isn’t just for us to do nothing about it, but for us to act. If you are blessed enough to observe something that others are not seeing, it shows you have been equipped with the needed foresight to do something about that problem, and if you can’t solve it on your own, then involve others to help out.

We observe behaviours of people or even animals that we can relate with. We learn by observing people’s behaviour which helps us in relating with other people better. We even learn by observing the behaviour of animals.

You learn from the loyalty of a dog. You learn from the carefree nature of little birds, that after the mother bird has nurtured them to flight, they simply leave and go away. You learn by observing the eagle. The eagle has the wisdom in turning a problem into a strength. When there is a storm, an eagle will move towards the storm and use its current to move up above it. This is a clear sign that we should never run from problems, rather we should use it as a stepping stone.

We should never pray for lighter problems because life decides that and it is not in our control, but we should rather pray for sufficient strength for every problem, so we can always stay on top of the situation, rather than below it.

In my life, I think I have picked more learning from observations. I am sensitive. I always look for patterns in either people’s behaviours or in situations. I know more people have learned just by observing situations too.

All the things I have known about the human character, even that of ladies, I learned from observations, since I don’t have all the time in the world to date them all, to know or learn from experience. hahaha.

In the next post, I will share two others ways that we learn, but until then, can you share with us the things you have learned by merely observing? I want to learn too.

...to be continued...

Thank you for your time.

In communities where children's primary mode of learning is through observation, the children are rarely separated from adult activities. This incorporation into the adult world at an early age allows children to use observational learning skills in multiple spheres of life. This learning through observation requires keen attentive abilities. Culturally, they learn that their participation and contributions are valued in their communities. This teaches children that it is their duty, as members of the community, to observe others' contributions so they gradually become involved and participate further in the community.

Brilliant!. This is not far from the truth at all, which further enhance the fact that we learn by observing sometimes.

Thanks a whole lot for that, brother.

There is no denying the fact that learning improves us and make us better

There is absolutely no doubt about that, any moment we stop learning that mean we are already dead because our day to day activities always involved us learning new things or building the old experience we have had. Learning shaped our thinking, we are sum total of all we have ever learned.

You either learn from the mistakes of others or you learn from yours

The truth of this could not be far fetched, is either we learn from our mistakes or from others around us that is why sometimes our thinking is shaped by the things around us( our culture ).

Observation as you have said is really a great tool towards learning new things in this life, a soul that couldn't observe is surely equiped to met its doom in no time. As a student we observe, even an adult, that is why people often tend to ask what's our observation about a particular issues or matter.

By observing, we pick things faster and quicker. There are so many things we can learn in life if only we can observe.

Thank you for your contribution. Always enjoy it.

Learning never ever stops. Beautiful sir

Always a continuous process.

In education, it is believed that learning continues even after death...lol

Let me start by backing your point with proverbs 6:6

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: proverb 6:6 kjv

When it comes to observation as a means of learning, it is even recommended by the Bible to show how important it is.

My experience as a result of observing others.

I can administer almost all the injections on my animals not that I was thought all in school, I learnt a great number of them observing those that are doing it.

Thank you @olawalium and @communitycoin for this educative post.

Good one. This is a clear sign that we really do learn by observation, when we have an open mind and approach to it.

Good one brother. Thanks as always.

You are very much welcome.

Yeah, some people learn from practical applications, but people like you and me learn from observations because until we don't have a picture in our head we cannot unfortunately think straight.

We have several ways of learning; some by experience, some by observation, some by reading and teaching but then, at one point or the other, we have all learned in all of these.

Practical observation is still observation... Lol

You learn by what you see by wanting to replicate it. That's practical and that is observation..... Smile

Life itself is a teacher and we learn from life itself, we learn from our past and we also learn from event and things see and hear .

But to me the best part of learning is true personal experience and through the words of wisdom from our elders. Learning is a continues process that never ceases as we continue to live and interact with other we learn from their experience and also from what we pass through in life @olawalium and @communitycoin

Learning is indeed a continuous process. We don't have time to make all the mistakes in the world like someone said, so we live and learn off the experiences of others while we learn from our own personal experiences too. Learning shows a life that is ready to be better than it was.

Thanks a lot for your wonderful contribution.

We would learn until the end of our days!
That's how God made it, no one is an Highland, you can't know everything, even we learn from animals and at times from plants.

learning never stops

No man knows it all, surely we should always strive to learn from anyone. Learning never stop.

I learned from the life of learning to understand everything learning to be able to understand the many things that exist in each journey of life is to see more closely, to hear more clearly, to feel it wholeheartedly

I learned from the failure of learning to give the same space to him as when I achieve success in life because without failure, success becomes a rare event failure will make us realize that we are nobody without Him Failure to make us gain valuable lessons

I learned from mistakes Because without error, I will not know the meaning of apology, fix it. I can not forgive, forgive and also how to be merciful. The error teaches that none of us is perfect But it should be a mistake to teach ourselves to admit it and fix it

I learned from suffering because that's where I understand the meaning of a process of suffering taught how we grow up when we face it and get through it. Suffering teaches the meaning of surrender, ego and self-pity. Suffering gives a lesson about how we can live, enjoy, be grateful and surrender everything to the owner of life.

Learning from failures, mistakes and suffering always have this great effect on us. We have several ways and channels to learn. We should always be open to learning, anyway, anyhow. It always make us better.

This ia good. This is the truth. One of the many ways by which we learn is by observing. We tend to absorb so many teachings merely by observing and like you said being open and sensitive to what we see to observe, helps the process a lot.

Yes, we tend to absorb so much learning by observing if we are open ans sensitive to it.

Thanks a lot for this sir. Really appreciate it.
