Yesterday I set off at 6.30am to go to Cheltenham to speak to a group at the University of Gloucestershire about Steemit.

It's quite a trek, but It was a great session from my point of view. For one thing it really helped me focus on what's most important to communicate to people about what we're doing here and about the broader blockchain/crypto world. It was also interesting to hear what questions people come up with in response. These questions are moving from "can this work?" to "how does this work and what does it mean anyway?" and on the way to "I wonder how we can use this to help us get done what we want to do."

It was different from the session I expected to run, mainly because the group were mainly faculty members rather than students (though one brave student came and another was represented by her note-taker). So these are people who think all the time about the music business, how it works and how it could work better.

We're going to meet again next week to work on something like "how could we use a platform such as the Steem blockchain to help music students learn in a practical way about new business models?"

Should be fun! I will report back of course.

Well played.
Also, dig the photo choice.

I think people or groups are more tempted by telling money, and giving direction to how to get it with casual work without being pressured by boredom, and the interesting plaling is that we can invest without initial capital ...!
good luck @lloyddavis

Sounds interesting @lloyddavis. It's a shame, and a bit surprising, that there weren't more students interested.

Did anybody ask - "Can I make money on Steemit?".
People usually are shy about it but it is the biggest motivator for noobs.

Good stuff. I think at this stage we just need to get the word out to people who could make good use of the platform

Discussions around "how can this be used" is a leap forward -I look forward to hearing how that goes.

I'm still a learner but I'm now a learner with a few days off so plan to start teaching myself about this world of crypto and blockchain

such a beautiful post.and also learning post.hope everyone will be learn many thing on this.keep it up

Had many / any of the attendees heard of steem before?

Very good article, I think that people are getting closer to growing in the world of cryptocurrencies

Thanks for a great session @lloyddavis! We've had a few conversations at UoG off the back of your presentation. I really liked the way that there was running theme about the relationship between income generation and community building, and the way in which Steemit comes across as embodying so much of what is happening in terms of anonymity politics / and more widespread shifts in digital commerce. Looking forward to next week!

That's great to invite and introduce them with this platform. Keep it up Sir.
And we felt your absence of one Week.

providing information to other organizations is a very good thing, because in addition we can share information and we also our science also increases. @lloyddavis
