ICYMI: Creative Tuesday

I spent the stream putting some more detail into the bracer. The first pass was not nearly as nice as I would have liked. That said, it came through much better the second time around! It's amazing what a little water can do to help the impressions stick.

Nice little before and after shot, no? That took a lot longer than I had anticipated it would. Regardless, I finished it up, and got to the point where it was time to stain the leather.

It was at that moment, I learned something very important about leather stain:

It'll stain your skin, too! At least the pieces came out really well...

Seriously, I'm elated that the indentations in the leather picked up the stain the way they did. It looks fantastic! I can't wait to put a bunch of rivets into this thing and see how they go. That'll be another Creative Tuesday stream, no less!
