My mother-in-law's grandfather was lynched in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

When I looked at the crowd of witnesses, for some reason it reminded me of the Assembly of God church. That was my first "speaking in tongues" incident in Pinellas county, Florida. Not to say the crowd in Georgia was doing anything godly.

The word "picnic" has its own dubious origins; its derivation is not hard to figure out. And android technology is daunting. I'm sure the closeup of a man in a black suit with clean-shaven head would be hard to look at, if you could see the details of his face. His last words, "You're killing an innocent man." True.

Anyway, Jesus looked with compassion at the multitude (paraphrase) as sheep without a shepherd. They were hungry, and they were spiritually lost. Things were not much different in 1908. I guess the question remains, are we any better or ready for social justice in 2017?

The reaction to that church crowd in Pinellas was to pack up the youth group and leave the premises, immediately.
